  Bait & Switch at its finest... We bought a refrigerator from the Huntersville, NC location. When a delivery was attempted on 5/20/2016, the deliveryman lamented that he had to bring the appliance up to our second floor kitchen, something that had been communicated to store manager, Donald Meekins Sr., when we originally purchased the appliance the previous day. Fortunately for the deliveryman, the unit's top was literally smashed so the delivery was aborted. We received an upgrade to a different refrigerator which was supposed to be delivered on 5/21/2016 as compensation for our inconvenience. Prior to the delivery, we received a phone call from the merchant and were told we were going to be charged an additional fee of $150 because bringing the refrigerator up a flight of stairs constituted a difficult delivery. We went to the Huntersville location to get our money back and ended up engaging in a verbal altercation with the store's staff about their deceitful, underhanded business practices. The most boisterous of the staff was Donald Meekins Sr. who, under the presumed authorization of Rob Erwin, refused to return the cash we'd given him to purchase the refrigerator less than 48-hours earlier. Handicapped waiting for a credit to appear on our debit card and with food that continues to spoil in a cooler thanks to the bait and switch tactics that Mr. Meekins is clearly not shy about incorporating into his daily business routine, we're now off to purchase a new appliance from a reputable, trustworthy retailer. We made our purchase from a retailer in the area and couldn't be pleased more. Although delivery was not available till the following week, we transported it home, contacted a local moving service to transport the refrigerator up the "alleged impassable" staircase. All told, the actual time from front door to kitchen was an astounding seven minutes, a far cry from what Plaza Appliance proclaimed it would be, and at the fraction of the additional $150 they were going to charge. Even with the entire English language at my command, I still cannot warn consumers strongly enough about what they can expect if they choose to do business with Plaza Appliance Mart. Only shop there if you enjoy being deceived and verbally abused as well as having your character assaulted simply because you need an appliance. Residents in Cornelius, Huntersville, Charlotte, and surrounding areas beware!!!

  I had a great experience shopping/purchasing my washer/dryer set. The lady who helped us out knew exactly what she was talking about and gave helpful details about functionality/lifespan/care of different types of washers/dryers. We also got next-day delivery, a Labor Day sale, and a $150 rebate with the product we purchased.
